The Washington Huskies football program has yielded 4 National Championships, 16 Conference titles, and sent 15 players to the College Football Hall of Fame and 3 to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Former Husky QB Warren Moon remains the only player inducted to both the NFL & Canadian Football Halls of Fame. Other notable Husky football alumni include Hugh McElhenny, Steve Emtman, Lincoln Kennedy, and Sonny Sixkiller.
Beyond those accomplishments, the University of Washington also sent a team of rowers led by coach Al Ulbrickson to the 1936 Olympics in Berlin. The boys came back home to Seattle with a gold medal, setting a new world record in the process.
