History: The Philadelphia Eagles began their NFL history in less than stellar fashion by posting 10 consecutive losing seasons beginning in 1933. They would flip that scenario beginning in 1943 with 7 straight winning campaigns that included 3 Straight trips to the NFL Championship game and back-to-back titles in 1948 & 1949. Pro Football Hall of Famer Steve Van Buren was the driving force behind their winning ways, capturing 4 NFL rushing titles between 1945-.1949. Other Eagle Hall of Famers include Chuck "Concrete Charlie" Bednarik, Alex Wojciechowicz, Norm Van Brocklin, Sonny Jurgensen, Tommy McDonald, and Reggie White. Other popular Eagle players include Wilbert Montgomery, Harold Carmichael, Bill Bergey, Ron "Jaws" Jaworski and Jerome Brown. Today the Eagles are members of the NFC East and play their home games in Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, PA.
