History: Tiny Vernon, CA (just over the line from Los Angeles) stands out as one of the more unusual franchise locations for a high-level minor league club. The reason was that the city of Los Angeles was "dry" (no alcohol was sold), but once you stepped across the line to "wet" Vernon, anything was possible (well, almost anything). Tigers owner Peter Mier built Mier Park directly next to Doyle's Bar, which claimed to have the "longest bar in the world". The bar exited directly into the ballpark. Talk about convenience! We love Vernon's pillbox style hat from 1910.

Our caps faithfully replicate historic professional baseball caps from 1900 to 1970 and fit differently than modern caps. Try wrapping a piece of string around your head where a cap would naturally fit and then measure the string to find your size.

Measuring Guide
We offer three kinds of ballcap visors:
Pre-1940 ballcaps were made with soft visors so players could fold them up and put them in their back pockets. Later visors were done in standard (stiff visor) or short (also a soft visor). Check the product details to see which type of visor each cap has.
