History: Hot Springs tried to integrate the CSL in 1953 by signing pitching brothers Jim and Leander Tugerson for the 1953 season. They were threatened with expulsion from the league for their efforts, and neither brother actually appeared for the Bathers in a game that season, despite the team's efforts.
