History: The 1949 Baylor Bears Baseball team posted a record of 9 wins and 6 losses and a 3rd place finish in their conference. The most memorable part of the season was when for the first time since 1923, a Bear nine downed the University of Texas Longhorns in two straight games - the same team that later won the 1949 NCAA Championship. The Baylor Bears are currently members of the Big 12 Conference and play their home games in Baylor Ballpark, Waco Texas. Sic 'Em!
