History: Hiroshima established a professional baseball team as part of the city's reconstruction efforts after the atomic bomb devastation in 1945. The Carp ("Koi" in Japanese) were perennially underfunded, and were so poor that in 1953 they could only afford to issue one uniform per player. The Carp played in Hiroshima Municipal Stadium until 2008.

Great hat, true to size, excellent quality as always!
I love the fit and the look of this hat. Excellent construction. I'll be buying more in the future.
Nice hat. Fits a little tight for a 7 1/8. Well constructed. Only complaint is that shiny fabrics used (under bill and in the dome) pick up and retain oil, unlike traditional fabrics.
Above and beyond
Everything about the purchase was stellar. Order placement is easy, shipping was surprisingly fast, and the hat itself is stunning. Detail and care in production are obviously top of mind for everyone at Ebbets, the hat is above and beyond my expectations.
After years of collecting and wearing baseball hats (100-150 or so) I just have to say how disappointed I am in myself for waiting this long to finally purchase Ebbets caps. (1958 Carp and 1944 Portland Beavers) I consider myself overly picky but here, absolutely amazing construction, feel, fit, color, comfort, packaging, care... Everything. I'm leaving the other hat company's behind for now. Moving into this new obsession. Making a B-line to the store next time I'm in Seattle. TAKE ALL MY MONEY!!!!!
