History: Wide Receiver Bob Mann is recognized as being the first African American to play in a regular season game for the Green Bay Packers in 1950 (He shared the same distinction with Mel Groomes when they did so in 1948 for the Detroit Lions). Mann was the also the first player in Packers history to have a face mask on his helmet.
