St. Louis Browns 1952 Authentic Jacket
History: Although the lowly Browns achieved some measure of respect when they finally won an American League pennant in 1944, the team soon dropped back into its familiar second tier position in the league, and even in their own city, where the rival Cardinals were supreme. As happened with many multi-team cities in this era, the Browns sought greener pastures, and found them in Baltimore in 1954. Putting their on-field accomplishments aside, this is one of the great warm-up jackets in major league history, with brown virgin wool body, orange knit shoulder inserts, leather pocket trim, and the “Brownie” peering out from the left chest.
