History: Wilfred "Lefty" Lefebvre coached the Brown Bears Baseball team for 15 years from 1949 - 1964. He led the Bears to eight winning seasons and the only Ivy League Baseball title Brown has ever won in 1952. Before coaching he played for the Boston Red Sox and is one of 31 players in MLB history to hit a Home Run in his first at bat. It was on the first pitch too and the only four-bagger of his career.

I love my Brown University Vintage Ballcap. I have been a loyal Ebbets Field Flannels customer since the 90s. I still have my first SF Seals cap and it has made the cross country transfer and retirement from the military. The Brown University 1959 Ballcap is just the latest to my collection. It reminds me of home as a native Rhode Islander and hangs next to my 1972 Pawtucket Red Sox hat (also from Ebbets Field). The Brown University cap is extremely well made just like the other two mentioned. it runs true to size as it is the fitted version (7 3/8). Like all my other ballcaps I consistently get complements on it and asked “Where did you get it” Well worth the purchase price.
This cap was in my first order of 3 hats I made with Ebbets. The quality is outstanding - and their customer service is second to none. I'll be joining the Ebbets cult now and become a life long customer.
First Ebbets hat, and definitely not my last. Looks and feels incredible.
The hat arrived in perfect condition. Everything about my experience with Ebbets Field was perfect.
