Korakuen Eagles
The Tokyo-based Korakuen Eagles were founded in 1938 and were owned by the Dai-Nippon Beer Company. In 1940, with hostilities with Western powers rising, the Japanese government banned the use of English words in baseball and the team changed its name to Kurowashi (Black Eagles). After being purchased by the Yamato Iron Works, the team was dissolved in 1944.
