History: George Blanda played 26 years in the NFL/AFL - a record that still stands. George had retired in 1958 after 10 years in the league but "unretired" to join the Houston Oilers of the newly formed American Football League in 1960 and calmly led them to back-to-back AFL titles. Blanda is the oldest player to play in a game at 48 years/109 days, was the first player to score over 2,000 points and in addition for throwing for almost 27,000 yards, he kicked 335 field goals and 943 extra points. George was inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1981.
