Santurce Cangrejeros Cotton Twill Baseball Jersey
A BREATHABLE COTTON TWILL JERSEY HONORING THE 1954 SANTURCE TEAM
History: In 1954, the San Juan-based Santurce Cangrejeros boasted one of the greatest outfields in baseball history. In right field was a young Roberto Clemente, who would soon make his debut with the Pittsburgh Pirates. In center was National League MVP Willie Mays, who won the Puerto Rican MVP award. And in left was Puerto Rican star Luis Olmo. Nicknamed the "Panic Squad", the team won both the Puerto Rican League and Caribbean Series titles.
This cotton twill jersey honors the Cangrejeros and Puerto Rican baseball. Made with lightweight, durable cotton, the jersey features Cangrejeros script on the chest, along with Clemente’s number 21 on the front, just like back in the day.
