VARSITY JACKET CELEBRATING AMERICA’S FIRST OLYMPIC HOCKEY GOLD

History: At the 1960 Winter Olympics in Squaw Valley, California, a group of American college and amateur hockey players entered the tournament as underdogs against powerhouses like Canada, the Soviet Union, Sweden, and Czechoslovakia. Against all odds, they went unbeaten and defeated the mighty Soviets in the semifinals before clinching the gold medal with a dramatic 9-4 comeback in the final round — a story later dubbed the “Forgotten Miracle” long before 1980’s Miracle on Ice captured the world’s attention.

We were inspired by the graphics from the winter games archives and paired them with a classic varsity jacket made with a wool body and finished with vintage felt lettering and patchwork.
