V-NECK MESH JERSEY HONORING THE 1951 SEATTLE RAINIERS

History: In 1955, with the Rainiers coming off a fifth-place finish and the franchise teetering, general manager Dewey Soriano made a phone call to his old Franklin High School teammate Fred Hutchinson, who was in a contract dispute with the Detroit Tigers. Hutchinson turned down Detroit and the Baltimore Orioles to come home and manage Seattle instead. The city responded like he'd never left: fans flooded back to Sicks' Stadium, and Hutchinson guided the Rainiers to a 95-77 record and the PCL pennant — the last championship of the Emil Sick era, won by a Seattle boy who came home when it mattered.

Made from breathable knit mesh with tackle twill appliqué lettering and logos, this jersey is inspired by the home uniform worn by the 1955 Seattle Rainiers
