History: The 1957 San Francisco Seals knew what was coming. Everyone in the PCL did: the Giants were moving from New York, the Dodgers from Brooklyn, and when they arrived in California the next year, the PCL's most storied franchises would be displaced. The Seals went out the right way — winning 101 games, taking the pennant two days before the season ended, and clinching the last championship of their 54-year history. It remains the only way to go out.
