Pittsburgh Pirates 1960 Satin Windbreaker Jacket
THE PITTSBURGH PIRATES WINDBREAKER JACKET FROM 1960
History: Many do not realize that the Pirates did not adopt the traditional black-and-gold Pittsburgh color scheme until 1948 (the team had worn blue-and-red variations previously). Although often finishing in the second tier of the NL standings, the Forbes Field faithful were rewarded in 1960, when a walk off home run in Game 7 of the World Series shocked the New York Yankees and gave the Bucs their first World Championship since 1925.
This style is an authentic Pittsburgh Pirates satin windbreaker from 1960. Our line of MLB vintage windbreakers are inspired by models from the 1950s and '60s, and use our classic cotton-backed satin.Â
