Notre Dame Satin Varsity Jacket
VINTAGE INSPIRED NOTRE DAME SATIN VARSITY JACKET
History: In his third season as Notre Dame Head football Coach, Ara Parseghian led The Fighting Irish to their eighth National Football Championship in 1966. Linebacker and Maxwell Award winner Jim Lynch captained a smothering defense that held opponents to just 38 points over the entire season. Every home game except one ended in a complete shutout, to the delight of thousands of fans at the historic Notre Dame Stadium where the Fighting Irish have played since 1930.
To design this varsity jacket, we looked through the archives and pulled inspiration from vintage warm-up layers worn by collegiate athletes in the '80s and '90s. Featuring a shamrock on the back and Notre Dame across the front in felt appliqué, this jacket is made from high quality satin with quilted insulation to keep you warm.
