AUTHENTIC WOOL BALLCAP HONORING THE 1971 NISHITETSU LIONS

History: By 1971, the Nishitetsu Lions were nearing the end of their celebrated Fukuoka era. Managed by former ace Kazuhisa Inao, the club finished sixth in the Pacific League at 38–84–8. Yet the roster contained important pieces of the next chapter: young pitcher Osamu Higashio, drafted in 1968, led the team with 109 strikeouts and posted a 3.74 ERA, while Masayoshi Higashida supplied 23 home runs. The season came only two years after the Black Mist scandal had shaken the club and cost ace Masaaki Ikenaga his career.

Made from genuine wool broadcloth and finished with our signature green satin underbrim, this ballcap is inspired by the 1971 Nishitetsu Lions on-field ballcap.
