WOOL MESH TRUCKER HAT HONORING THE NEW YORK BLACK YANKEES

History: Originally named the Harlem Stars, the New York Black Yankees were founded in the summer of 1932. They spent their first years barnstorming across the country, sometimes playing doubleheaders in different states on successive days. They officially joined the Negro National League in 1936, where they played until their final season in 1948. Hall of Famer Satchel Paige had a stint with the Black Yankees, and other notable players from the team include “Fats” Jenkins, Ted “Double Duty” Radcliffe, and “Mule” Suttles.

This isn't like the trucker hats you'll find anywhere else. Made from genuine wool broadcloth on the front and the brim and a vintage-style mesh on the back, this trucker-style ballcap pulls inspiration from the hyper-wearable practice caps of the '70s and '80s for a hat that honors the Black Yankees' first season in the Negro Leagues.
