University of Hawaii Rainbow Warriors Cotton Twill Ballcap
COTTON TWILL BALLCAP HONORING THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII RAINBOW WARRIORS
History: In 1923, the University of Hawaii football team — then known simply as the Deans — pulled off a stunning 7-0 upset over Oregon State at Moiliili Field. As the final whistle blew, a rainbow arched over the stadium, and sportswriters began calling the team the Rainbows, swearing Hawaii could never lose with one overhead. The nickname stuck. A century later, the rainbow flag still flies over every Hawaii team that takes the field.
Made from soft yet sturdy cotton twill with our signature green satin underbrim, this hat honors the "rainbow capital of the world" and the largest college system in the state, the University of Hawaii Rainbow Warriors.
