Houston Astros 1965 Authentic Jacket
History: When Houston became the first new city added to MLB in the first phase of expansion (the other three new teams were in cities which previously or currently had MLB ball) the name of the team was the Colt .45s. However with baseball’s first indoor facility due to open in 1965, it was decided a new name was needed, and on December 24, 1964, the name “Astros” was chosen for the team which would play in the “Eighth Wonder of the World”. This 100% wool jacket features a quilted lining, and the famed Astrodome on the left chest embroidered felt patch.
