V-NECK MESH JERSEY HONORING THE 1940 HOLLYWOOD STARS

History: The Hollywood Stars moved into Gilmore Field in 1939 — a brand-new park on Beverly Boulevard, next door to a CBS studio and across town from their rivals, the PCL's Los Angeles Angels. In their second year at Gilmore, the Stars went 84-94 and finished sixth — a below-.500 team playing in a park that belonged to Hollywood's most glamorous era. Bing Crosby, Gary Cooper, and Cecil B. DeMille were part of the ownership group. On a good night, they were in the stands too. The Stars would later grow into a championship team, winning three pennants before 1958, but everyone in Hollywood has to start somewhere.

Made from breathable knit mesh with tackle twill appliqué lettering and logos, this jersey is inspired by the home uniform worn by the 1940 Hollywood Stars.
