Brooklyn Eagles Logo Short Sleeve Tee Shirt
A TRIBUTE TO THE “NY” LOGO WORN BY THE 1935 BROOKLYN EAGLES
History: The Eagles played their inaugural season at Brooklyn’s Ebbets Field in 1935, but moved to Newark just one year later. Co-owned and managed by Effa Manley, the first and only woman inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame, the Eagles were a powerhouse of the Negro Leagues, winning the NLWS in 1946. The following year, their home-grown star Larry Doby became the second Black player to break the color barrier and the first in the American League.
This tee, cut from a soft and sturdy 100% cotton jersey, pays homage to the Brooklyn Eagles with a vintage-style screenprint of the ‘NY’ logomark they wore while they called Ebbets Field home.
