Birmingham Black Barons Cotton Twill Jersey
A TRIBUTE TO THE THE BIRMINGHAM BLACK BARONS
History: Led by the incredible talents of star player Satchel Paige, the Birmingham Black Barons won the ‘second half’ pennant in 1927 before losing the Negro National League title to the Chicago American Giants. The team bounced around different leagues before becoming full members of the Negro American League in 1945, and three years later they defeated the Monarchs for the pennant with a 15 year-old Willie Mays in the outfield.
To celebrate the legendary baseball team, this 1940's inspired jersey — cut from a soft and sturdy cotton twill — features a double-layer felt applique of the BARONS team logo and unique ribbon decoration.
