WOOL BALLCAP HONORING THE 1959 SALT LAKE CITY BEES

History: The 1959 Salt Lake City Bees were a Pittsburgh Pirates affiliate playing at Derks Field, and they were very good — finishing 85-69 to win the PCL pennant by one and a half games over Vancouver, the first title in the club's history. Pitcher Dick Hall led the staff with an 18-4 record and a 1.87 ERA. Outfielder R.C. Stevens led the club with 19 home runs. It was the Bees' second year back in the Pacific Coast League after a long run in the Pioneer League, and they announced their return by winning the whole thing.
