INDIGO-DYED DOBBY BALLCAP HONORING THE OSAKA TIGERS

History: The Osaka Tigers took the field in 1936 as one of Japan’s original professional baseball clubs, and their home at Koshien Field quickly became one of the game’s great stages. Koshien opened in 1924 and is Japan’s oldest purpose-built baseball stadium. The park also hosted Babe Ruth during his famous 1934 tour of Japan, an event commemorated by a statue outside the stadium. The Tigers built a passionate following in Osaka and became one of Japanese baseball’s enduring institutions, eventually continuing under the name Hanshin Tigers.
