Muhammad Ali Chest Embroidered Heavyweight Cotton Terry Pullover Hoodie
A HOODIE INSPIRED BY MUHAMMAD ALI’S TRAINING GEAR
History: On October 1, 1975, heavyweight champion Muhammad Ali and former champ Joe Frazier battled it out with the belt on the line for the third time in the “Thrilla in Manila.” After touching gloves in a sweltering arena, Ali came out hard and fast. Frazier took some devastating punches early on, but his powerful left hook started connecting more and more. Ali summoned all his strength for a brutal 12th round flurry, and Frazier’s corner signaled the ref to stop the bout after the 14th.
We designed the Thrilla in Manila collection to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the best fight the boxing world has ever seen and pay homage to a titan of sport with pieces inspired by his life. Ali was known to train in heavy work boots and sweats to improve his endurance, especially during training periods at Fighter’s Heavy in Deer Lake, PA. This grey hooded sweatshirt with embroidered script recreates the champ’s iconic workout gear.
