Hawaii Islanders 1964 "H" Logo Cotton Twill Ballcap
COTTON TWILL BALLCAP HONORING THE 1964 HAWAII ISLANDERS
History: While the 1964 Islanders were busy posting the worst record in franchise history, 22-year-old catcher Jack Hiatt was quietly putting together a big season at the plate — strong enough to earn a late-season call-up to the Los Angeles Angels. He didn't waste the opportunity: in his very first big-league at-bat, pinch-hitting in the 11th inning against Boston, Hiatt singled home the winning run. Even Hawaii's worst season on record found a way to produce a walk-off hero.
Made from sturdy cotton twill with our signature green satin underbrim, this ballcap is inspired by the on-field ballcap of the 1960's Hawaii Islanders.
