AUTHENTIC WOOL BALLCAP HONORING THE 1959 DETROIT STARS

History: By the late 1950s, the Detroit Stars were part of the Negro American League’s post-integration era, when Black baseball teams faced growing financial and competitive pressures. The club played much of its schedule on the road, occasionally taking the field at Briggs Stadium when the Detroit Tigers were away. Despite the changing baseball landscape, the Stars name endured through several incarnations, linking a new generation of players to Detroit’s pioneering Negro League franchise of the 1920s.

Made from genuine wool broadcloth and finished with our signature green satin underbrim, this hat is inspired by the on-field ballcap worn by the 1959 Detroit Stars.
