AUTHENTIC WOOL ROAD JERSEY HONORING THE 1969 CHUNICHI DRAGONS

History: The Chunichi Dragons entered 1969 under manager Shigeru Mizuhara, coming off a difficult 1968 campaign. The club rebounded to finish fourth in the Central League at 59–65–6, with catcher Tatsuhiko Kimata earning a place on the league’s Best Nine. The season also marked an early chapter for Kenichi Yazawa, who would become one of the Dragons’ standout players of the 1970s. By decade’s end, Chunichi was building toward its 1974 Central League championship, the franchise’s first pennant in 20 years.
