Brooklyn Eagles 1935 Wool Ballcap - Youth Size
YOUTH-SIZED WOOL BALLCAP HONORING THE 1935 BK EAGLES
History: The Eagles played their inaugural season at Brooklyn’s Ebbets Field in 1935, but moved to Newark just one year later. Co-owned and managed by Effa Manley, the first and only woman inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame, the Eagles were a powerhouse of the Negro Leagues, winning the NLWS in 1946. The following year, their home-grown star Larry Doby became the second Black player to break the color barrier and the first in the American League.
Made to fit smaller heads and designed with a green and navy blue color combination, this ballcap is handsewn from genuine wool broadcloth and finished with a felt appliqué of the 1935 Eagles' iconic 'NY' logo and a classic velcro closure at the back. This hat was also designed with a counterpart — a full-sized version that combines with this one to form a matching duo.
