BUTTON-UP MESH JERSEY HONORING THE 1945 BIRMINGHAM BLACK BARONS

History: The Birmingham Black Barons entered their golden era during the 1940s, when Rickwood Field became a showcase for some of the Negro Leagues’ finest talent. Led in earlier seasons by Satchel Paige and Mule Suttles, the club developed into a perennial contender in the Negro American League, capturing pennants in 1943, 1944 and 1948. Their success made the Barons a source of immense pride for Black Birmingham, where packed crowds came to see elite baseball in an era of segregation.

Made from breathable knit mesh with tackle twill appliqué lettering and logos, this jersey is inspired by the home uniform worn by the 1945 Birmingham Black Barons.
