MESH JERSEY HONORING FRANK THOMAS' TIME WITH THE BIRMINGHAM BARONS

History: Frank Thomas — "The Big Hurt" — is one of the greatest pure hitters in baseball history. Two MVP awards, five All-Star appearances, and one of the most feared bats in his generation. But in 1990, before he made the bigs, Thomas played Double-A ball for the Birmingham Barons, where he hit .323 with 18 home runs, 112 walks, and an on-base percentage that led all of minor league baseball. Baseball America named him Minor League Player of the Year. The White Sox called him up in August, and his Hall of Fame career began.
