League: Texas League

History: Wichita, Kansas was home to a Double-A Texas League team from 1987 to 2007. First known as the Wichita Pilots, they changed the name after two seasons and operated as the Wichita Wranglers from 1989 on. The Wranglers were initially an affiliate of the San Diego Padres, but switched to become an affiliate of the Kansas City Royals in 1995. The Wranglers won eight division titles and three league titles before being relocated to Springdale, Arkansas and renamed the Northwest Arkansas Naturals following the 2007 season.
