History: The 1939 Terps finished their season with a record of 8-4 and were led by Junior southpaw Earl Springer. Springer hurled back-to-back shutouts versus Dartmouth and Rutgers. The most dependable hitters on the team were first baseman George Knepley and and untility fielder Adam Bengoechea.
