League: Pacific Coast League

History: The AAA American Association was rolled into the Pacific Coast League in 1963, so for several years there was the odd occurrence of cities like Indianapolis and Tulsa suddenly becoming "West Coast" teams. The Oilers were in the Cardinals system in the 1960s. Season standouts included outfielder Ted Savage and catcher Dave Ricketts. Tulsa went to the post-season PCL playoffs, but lost to Seattle.

Sizing Chart Ballcaps

Ballcaps

Our caps faithfully replicate historic professional baseball caps from 1900 to 1970 and fit differently than modern caps. Try wrapping a piece of string around your head where a cap would naturally fit and then measure the string to find your size.

Size Head Measurement (in inches)
7 21 5/8”
7 1/8 22”
7 1/4 22 3/8”
7 3/8 22 3/4”
7 1/2 23 1/8"
7 5/8 23 1/2"
7 3/4 23 7/8"
7 7/8 24 1/4"
8 24 5/8"

Adjustable caps fit up to a size 7 5/8.

Measuring Guide

We offer three kinds of ballcap visors:

Pre-1940 ballcaps were made with soft visors so players could fold them up and put them in their back pockets. Later visors were done in standard (stiff visor) or short (also a soft visor). Check the product details to see which type of visor each cap has.
