History: Knoxville was a charter member of the NSL in 1920 and was one of the top clubs in the eight-team circuit in 1920, finishing first or second depending on the source. The Giants had an integrated fan base, which was unusual for the time. Home games were played at Booker T. Washington Park in East Nashville. The team folded in the early 1920s when the Great Depression impacted all professional baseball, including the Negro Leagues.
