Hartford Senators 1922 Road Jersey
$215.00
History: Lou Gehrig was a freshman at Columbia when his baseball skills were noticed by none other than John McGraw, who encouraged him to sign a professional baseball contract with the Hartford Senators in 1921. Gehrig played under the name "Henry Lewis", but was discovered anyway and lost his college athletic eligibility for his freshman year. After returning to Columbia and playing baseball and football, he went back to Hartford, but soon found himself in new Yankee Stadium as a teammate of Babe Ruth.
