History: The Dallas-Ft. Worth Spurs were AA Affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, playing ball in the Texas League from 1965-1971. The Spurs played their home games at Turnpike Stadium, which was then expanded and used by the Texas Rangers when they moved from Washington DC in 1972.
