Penn State University Heavyweight Cotton Terry Crewneck
HEAVYWEIGHT CREWNECK INSPIRED BY VINTAGE PENN STATE SWEATSHIRTS
History: Happy Valley was rocking in the late 1960s as the Nittany Lions blazed through back-to-back undefeated seasons in 1968 and 1969. The defense, famously dubbed the “Rover Boys,” was relentless — piling up interceptions, stuffing the run, and dominating week after week. Both years ended with thrilling Orange Bowl wins over Kansas, and the ’69 season brought a share of the national title.
Inspired by retro Penn State sweatshirts from the ‘70s and ‘80s, we turned their classic arch design into a felt applique with an embroidered edge and paired it with this looser-fitting, heavyweight cotton crewneck replicating the high-quality sweatshirts of the past.
