Tokyo Giants 1953 Cotton Twill Baseball Jersey
COTTON JERSEY HONORING THE 1953 TOKYO GIANTS
History: A group of Japanese all-star ballplayers formed a barnstorming squad in 1934 and toured the United States, at one point facing off against an American all-star team that included Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, and Jimmy Fox. Two years later when the Japanese Baseball League formed, the team formally changed its name to the Tokyo Giants (or Kyojin in Japanese) and began their long history of success. Today they are the oldest and most successful professional sports team in Japan.
Inspired by vintage Tokyo Giants on-field uniforms, this jersey is made with lightweight, durable cotton twill with double-layer felt lettering.
