Santurce Cangrejeros Short Sleeve Tee
EVERYDAY TEE HONORING THE SANTURCE CANGREJEROS
History: In 1954, the San Juan-based Santurce Cangrejeros boasted one of the greatest outfields in baseball history. In right field was a young Roberto Clemente, who would soon make his debut with the Pittsburgh Pirates. In center was National League MVP Willie Mays, who won the Puerto Rican MVP award. And in left was Puerto Rican star Luis Olmo. Nicknamed the "Panic Squad", the team won both the Puerto Rican League and Caribbean Series titles.
Made with medium-weight 200gsm cotton, this tee is designed to be worn over and over again. The tee is finished with a subtle Ebbets logo on the sleeve and screenprinted “Santurce” on the chest along with Clemente’s old number 21.
