San Francisco Giants 1958 Satin Windbreaker Jacket
A TRIBUTE TO THE 1954 SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS
History: The Giants and the Dodgers both moved from New York to California in the same year, and they took their rivalry with them. On opening day in 1958, San Francisco took the field at home against the boys in blue for the first major league game ever played on the West coast. Star Giants pitcher RubĂ©n GĂłmez threw a complete-game, 8â0 shutout with six strikeouts and zero walks and went two for four at the plate himself, kicking off a new era of baseball in the sunshine state.
Inspired by vintage team windbreakers from the â50s and â60s and made from our classic cotton-backed satin, this jacket is a tribute to the inaugural season of the San Francisco Giants.
