History: Named after their parent club, the Padres were members of the Class A short-season Northwest League for ten years, from 1973 through 1982. Walla Walla Padres. In 1974, the minor league Walla Walla Padres, a Class A short-season team in the Northwest League, was affiliated with the San Diego Padres, a Major League team that finished last in the National League West.
