History: Willie Ehrlich came up through the youth system of Hungarian club Újpest FC, played professionally in France, then immigrated to the Lehigh Valley and spent years coaching local amateurs. He founded the Pennsylvania Stoners in 1979 — named for the Keystone State — and entered the American Soccer League with a roster built around local Allentown high school kids. In 1980, cheered on by a mascot named "Stoney" (an anthropomorphized rock), the Stoners went 19-4-5, rookie George Gorleku was named league MVP, and they beat Sacramento 2-1 before 7,723 fans to claim the ASL championship. Ehrlich won coach of the year.
Made with medium-weight 200gsm cotton and a vintage-style screen-print design, this shirt honors the 1980 Pennsylvania Stoners — hometown heroes and surprise ASL champions.
