COTTON TWILL JERSEY HONORING THE 1946 SAN FRANCISCO SEA LIONS

History: The San Francisco Sea Lions were a short-lived but historic Negro League club, formed in 1946 as part of the West Coast Negro Baseball League. When the league collapsed after a single season, the team continued as an independent barnstorming outfit. Among the players associated with the Sea Lions was Toni Stone, who would later play for the Indianapolis Clowns and become one of the first women to play professional baseball regularly alongside men. Even the team’s uniform has a story: the Sea Lions acquired jerseys previously worn by a semipro club called the San Francisco Cubs, explaining the unexpected bear cub logo.

Made from classic and comfortable cotton twill with felt appliqué lettering, this button-up jersey is inspired by the on-field uniform of the 1946 San Francisco Sea Lions.
