Babe Ruth Bustin' Babes Authentic Wool Baseball Jersey
REPLICA JERSEY FOR BABE RUTH’S BARNSTORMING SQUAD THE BUSTIN’ BABES
History: After completing one of the best seasons of baseball ever played on the 1927 New York Yankees, “Murderer’s Row” teammates Babe Ruth and Lou Gherig formed two barnstorming teams that would compete with each other in exhibition games all over the country. Gherig’s team was the Larrupin’ Lous, and Ruth’s the Bustin’ Babes. In each game, the Yankees teammates would take a spot in their own line-up and the rest of the team would be made up of local players, meaning every stop in the 20-city tour offered fans not just a chance to see the league’s biggest stars, but play alongside them.
Made in the USA from black wool flannel with a spalding patch on the sleeve and felt applique lettering, this jersey is an authentic reproduction of the jersey worn by the Bustin’ Babes back in 1927.
