Detroit Stars 1950 V-Neck Mesh Jersey
$108 USD
V-NECK MESH JERSEY HONORING THE DETROIT STARS
History: The Detroit Stars name returned to the Negro American League in 1954, when entrepreneur Ted Rasberry moved his Grand Rapids Black Sox to Detroit. Playing in an era when integration was reshaping Black baseball, the revived Stars carried on the legacy of the original Detroit club. Managed by former major leaguer Ed Steele, the team captured the Negro American League championship in 1956 with a remarkable 52–16 record. This later incarnation kept the Stars name alive into the early 1960s.
Made from breathable knit mesh with tackle twill appliqué lettering and logos, this jersey is inspired by the uniform worn by the '50s-era Detroit Stars.
