History: The 1975 Texas Longhorns, coached by Cliff Gustafson, produced one of the greatest seasons in college baseball history. Texas stormed to a 59–6 record and captured the College World Series title in Omaha, defeating South Carolina in the championship game. Sophomore Mickey Reichenbach earned Most Outstanding Player honors after hitting .455 during the series.
