1935 BROOKLYN EAGLES BALLCAP BY MOSSY OAK X EBBETS FIELD

History: Drawn from the hardwoods of Mississippi, Mossy Oak’s Bottomland pattern pioneered a naturalistic approach to camouflage — using muted tones, photo-real textures, and a natural depth to blend the human outline seamlessly into the surrounding woods. They provided the custom fabric for this collaboration, recasting their iconic camo in a classic wool blend fabric, which we then used to give some of our fan-favorite hats a special design flip.

The Eagles played their inaugural season at Brooklyn’s Ebbets Field in 1935, but moved to Newark just one year later. Co-owned and managed by Effa Manley, the first and only woman inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame, the Eagles were a powerhouse of the Negro Leagues, winning the NLWS in 1946. The following year, their home-grown star Larry Doby became the second Black player to break the color barrier and the first in the American League.

This hat features Mossy Oak's iconic Bottomland Camo in the body, our classic wool broadcloth in olive on the brim, and a felt appliqué of the 1935 Brooklyn Eagles logo on the front.
